Jennifer Brugh
Attorney
Jen relishes helping clients navigate the legal side of owning and operating a business. From formation to exit, there are many decisions small business owners manage that can have serious financial and legal implications. Deciding what type of entity to form, filing the proper paperwork to comply with federal and state laws, trying to protect themselves from liability, and negotiating contracts can be overwhelming while also trying to get clients or market a product.
Prior to joining G & G Law, Jen practiced personal injury law and then tax law before finding a passion in business law. In February 2020, she began working with G & G Law as an Of Counsel Attorney where she fell in love with small business transactional law in new ways, including the buying and selling of businesses, negotiating commercial leases, and drafting and reviewing contracts. In 2023, she transitioned into a full-time attorney with the firm.
Jen was born and raised in Arkansas and moved to Illinois in 2007 after finishing her undergraduate degree at the University of Arkansas. She then graduated from Chicago-Kent College of Law in 2011 and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar as a licensed attorney. She is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Jen lives in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago where she is an active member of her community, including serving as an Associate Board Member for The Friendship Center, a nonprofit food pantry serving the north side of Chicago, and as an officer on the Gross Park Advisory Council. When not in the office, Jen can usually be found in her kitchen. She is an avid at-home cook who loves dreaming up new recipes and sharing them with her family, friends, and neighbors.
